Adorable kid skaters grilled the skating duo — and their answers will give you all the feels.

by Laura Hensley, FLARE

What is more watchable than Canadian Olympians Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir passionately performing on the ice ? The duo answering questions from a pair of adorable kid skaters.

During an appearance on Breakfast Television on Friday morning, 28-year-old Virtue and 30-year-old Moir were asked about their career by two young ice dancing partners named Charlotte and Axel. Cute-as-a-button Axel asked the athletes, “How do you guys pick your music?” and their response was heartwarming.

BT host Dina Pugliese followed up the kid’s q by asking Virtue and Moir about their decision to skate to The Tragically Hip song “Long Time Running” for their final dance at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. “That was sort of a natural choice; we’re both such big fans,” Virtue said. “About a week after [Gord Downie] died, at Skate Canada International, Scott looked at me and said, ‘We have to do a tribute. He’s been such a part of all Canadians’ lives.’ It’s a nice way to feel connected to the band.”

The life skating partners then answered Charlotte’s question about their favourite moment from working together for over 20 years, and Moir’s reply was equally endearing. “We’ve talked a lot about our partnership, but I think the coolest thing is that after…20 and a half [years], we still love going to the rink and working together and doing projects together even outside the rink,” Moir said.

“I don’t think people understand how intense our relationship is because we spend so much time together. We still like hanging out with each other — that’s an accomplishment especially with how obnoxious I can be!”

Did your heart just skip a beat? Because mine did.

Moir’s adorable remarks aside, perhaps the best part about their BT visit was when they revealed they’ll be touring across Canada with Stars on Ice for the next several months. This means fans actually have a chance to see Moir and Virtue perform *in the flesh.*

Keep on being amazing, you two.

Feastday: December 3 Patron of Catholic missions; African missions; Goa, India; China; missionaries Birth: 1506 Death: 1552 Beatified By: Oct. 25, 1619 by Pope Paul V Canonized By: March 12, 1622 by Pope Gregory XV

St. Francis Xavier was a Navarrese-Basque Roman Catholic missionary born in the Kingdom of Navarre on April 7, 1506. His father was a privy counselor and finance minister to King John III of Navarre. He was the youngest in his family and resided in a castle which still partially stands today and is in the possession of the Jesuit order.

As the young Francis grew, he was surrounded by war. Navarre was the target of a campaign by King Ferdinand of Aragon and Castile, and the kingdom was eventually conquered.

When the war stopped and Francis came of age, he was sent to study at the University of Paris. While there he roomed with his friend, Peter Favre. The pair met and were heavily influenced by Ignatius of Loyola, who encouraged Francis to become a priest.

In 1530, Francis Xavier earned his master's degree, and went on to teach philosophy at the University of Paris.

On August 15, 1534, Francis Xavier along with Peter Favre, and several other friends, made vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. The men planned to travel to the Holy Land to convert non-believers. Francis Xavier started his study of theology that same year and was ordained on June 24, 1537.

Pope Paul III approved the formation of their order in 1540, which became The Society of Jesus. The order is more popularly became known as the Jesuits.

While Francis Xavier was becoming a priest, Portugal was colonizing India. The Portuguese settlers in India and elsewhere were losing their faith and Christian values. To restore these values, the King of Portugal asked the Pope to send missionaries to the region.

Pope Paul III asked the new order to take the mission, particularly since they could not undertake their preferred mission to the Holy Land due to warfare there. Ignatius ultimately decided to send Francis.

Francis Xavier left for India in 1541, on his thirty-fifth birthday. As he departed he was informed that the pope appointed him to be the Papal Nuncio in the East. A Papal Nuncio is a diplomat who takes up permanent residence in another country to formally represent the Church there. He arrived in the region and colony of Goa, India on May 6, 1542.

Hi, I want to send the following HTTP-Request to our Cloud-platform: POST / HTTP/1.1 Host: Content-Type: application/json charset: utf-8 Authorization: Bearer here_is_my_authcode Content-Length: 141 {"mode":"async","messageType":"here_is_my_message_type","messages":[{"ObjectID":"IoT_Device_Cities","timestamp":1481151456,"batterylevel":100}]} With WIFI_PRO I'm able to set the following fields: "Content-Type" "type" "host" "port" "url" "body" but not the rest of the HTTP-Header-Fields I need, especially "Authorization" "charset" "Content-Length" (maybe calculated by function module) Please help! Thx BR

with Waspmote v1.2 and _3G I used function _3G.readURLS(sHCP_URL, iHCP_PORT, sRequest) to POST with HTTP-HEADER in the Request-String. The Request-String in _3G.readURLS allows a Request-length of 500 characters. WIFI_PRO.getURL[/b ] only allows 256: uint8_t WaspWIFI_PRO::getURL(char* protocol, char* host, char* port, char* link ) { // define buffer for url: Maximum 256 chars char url[257]; char cmd_name[20]; char format[20]; uint8_t status; Would use getURL if possible, because I already have a function to generate the Request-String including HTTP-HEADER.
