Youth Advisory
Hip Hop 4 Life's Youth Advisory is a skill-building initiative that provides a viable platform to assist teens in the development of their leadership potential, communication skills and self-esteem. Members of our Youth Advisory also serve as consultants to Hip Hop 4 Life and assist with program development, execution and promotion Hip Hop 4 Life's message to their peers. Youth Advisory members are selected from Hip Hop 4 Life's Empowerment Team.
Class & Style
Hip Hop 4 Life created an alliance partnership with non-profit organization Gala Gear to create Class & Style, a new and exciting program that prepares female high school seniors for prom night. Class & Style is designed to outfit young ladies with complimentary beautiful and fashionable dresses and accessories for prom night at the Gala Gear boutique and educate the girls on important issues including self-esteem, etiquette, sexual health, dangers of drugs and alcohol, styling, grooming/hygiene, dating violence and relationships, via Hip Hop 4 Life's Shades of Beauty empowerment workshops.
Class & Style's inaugural program was launched in 2009 for the graduating class at Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem, NY.
