Tamekia Flowers-Holland,
Founder/Executive Director

Tamekia Flowers-Holland
Tamekia Flowers-Holland is a Brooklyn, New York native and alumni of Syracuse University. Since graduating from Syracuse's Whitman School of Management, Tamekia Flowers-Holland amassed over 12 years experience in event planning, marketing, talent relations and youth culture, working within the entertainment and corporate industries. However, no matter how busy her schedule, Flowers-Holland always found the time to be active in the community by volunteering her time and service to youth organizations. It was through these volunteer opportunities that she realized today's youth were not receiving adequate life skills training and information about health-risk prevention. As a result, in 2003 Flowers-Holland founded Hip Hop 4 Life, a non-profit youth empowerment organization committed to building self-esteem, confidence and sound judgment in young people so they can achieve their utmost potential and become proactive members and leaders within their communities.

Tamekia Flowers-Holland founded Hip Hop 4 Life with the objective of providing year-round mentoring, social and educational activities and interactive health-risk prevention/life skills workshops which incorporate celebrities, as well as, health and entertainment professionals. "Music, entertainment and youth empowerment have always been my passions," says Flowers-Holland.  It is for this reason that I know Hip Hop 4 Life is my purpose in life. I will continue to dedicate myself to engaging, educating, uplifting and empowering the young people who will ultimately define our future!" Tamekia Flowers-Holland currently serves as the organization's Executive Director.

In addition to Hip Hop 4 Life, Tamekia Flowers-Holland is also the Founder and CEO of Epiphany Blue, a boutique firm which specializes special event planning and developing talent related programs for youth and young adults.
