With a deep passion to empower girls and help them realize their true greatness, and a desire to showcase amazing women who are positive role models, Hip Hop 4 Life launched the Shades of Beauty: Empowerment Through Inspiration Tour featuring the Women of Inspiration Awards.
Hundreds of girls in New York, Boston and Los Angeles attended the event and were treated to an outstanding panel session and words of empowerment from Women of Inspiration honorees including: R&B artist & Broadway star Fantasia; media darling Egypt; Shanti Das of Universal Motown Records; Mona Scott-Young of Violator Records; Hip Hop artist & actress MC Lyte; actresses Essence Atkins and Kellie Williams; cosmetic dentist Dr. Catrise Austin; Personal Trainer Brandy Cruthird; Pam Cross of ABC 5 Boston; and Dr. Yvonne Gomez-Carrion.
